A related script, cgiecho, is also installed which echos the prospective email message back instead of mailing it for testing purposes.
The configuration file defines the format of the email to be sent. Bracketed field names, like [some-field-name], are are filled in with their respective values. Field names that start with required- must be filled in and are checked by cgiemail before sending the mail.
Do not insert spaces in front of the To:, From: or Subject: fields or else cgiemail will fail.
This is your standard HTML form with an ACTION which invokes the cgiecho (in real usage this would be cgiemail) CGI script with the name of the configuration file appended.
If you are user jdoe you would change "/cgi-bin/cgiecho/info/cgiemail/demo.txt" to
"/cgi-bin/cgiemail/~jdoe/demo.txt" if you put the configuration file demo.txt in your public_html directory.
The example above uses cgiecho to demonstrate the output of cgiemail.
