Secure and standard web traffic are measured the same. You don't have to pay a premium to use secure forms at Dealer Support Services.

Storage and traffic are billed on a quarterly cycle (three months in advance).

If the average size of your web pages is 10 kilobytes (5K of text and a 5K graphic), one gigabyte/month corresponds to 100,000 hits.

Additional mailboxes are $5/month.

Common Questions

Why should I go with you when I can get unlimited traffic elsewhere?

You get what you pay for. For example, some of our web servers cost about $6500 each. Also, about 1,000,000 hits per day will consume a full T1 (if you don't continually saturate it). Given that these two things are base costs, a flat rate service will not have incentive to put you on a server with as few as 3 other people if you are generating 300,000 hits per day. Whereas, we would have incentive to give you the high performance platform you deserve. We pride ourselves in high performance web servers that deliver.

How do I know if my desired name is already in use?

The InterNIC provides a web form to query the domain name registry.

How long can my domain name be and what characters can I use?

Domain names must be 26 characters or less including the top level domain, such as ".com", at the end. A domain name may be composed of letters, numbers, or the dash, "-", character.

Can I install my own CGI scripts?

Yes! You get your own individual cgi-bin directory, in which you can install your own CGI scripts. You then invoke them via a wrapper script. Our server has a complete unix development environment installed, including perl, tcl, and gcc.
